  • Updated January 2021 return details

Dear Parents and Carers, We hope that you and your families remain well and have enjoyed the festive season. You may be aware that because of the high COVID 19 infection rates the Government has decided to delay the opening of schools. As all of our students have Educational Health Care Plans and are classed as ‘vulnerable’ they are entitled to attend school from next week. The Kemnal Academy Trust has closed all schools on the 4th January to provide time for staff to work across the Trust to review arrangements. read more

  • Update re return to school in January

Dear Parents/Carers, Yesterday the Government announced that they were "asking secondary schools and colleges to operate a staggered return supported by full-time remote education during the first week of term with in-person teaching in full starting on January 11." "Students in exam year groups, vulnerable children, children of key workers, will attend school in person from the start of term as well as students in primary, special and alternative provision schools and colleges." As students in SEN specialist provisions are classed as 'vulnerable', we will be expecting to start back at Cleeve Meadow on 4th January. The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT) are working over the Christmas holidays to formulate a Trust wide plan for rapid testing and as a school we will take every step possible to ensure that disruption to the education of our students is kept at a minimum. It is important to point out however that it is possible that there will be another change in government guidance for schools between now and the start of term. We will confirm therefore, as soon as we are able, the starting arrangements for the beginning of term. read more

  • Welcome from the new Executive Head Teacher

Dear Parents, Carers and Students of Cleeve Meadow, I would like to introduce myself as the new Executive Headteacher of Cleeve Meadow School from January. I feel incredibly privileged to be leading Cleeve Meadow School alongside Mrs Morris as Head of School as we go into 2021. My first impressions of Cleeve Meadow are of a school community that really cares about each other. It is an exciting time as the school grows and whilst things feel very different due to the Covid 19 pandemic, my visits into the school have shown that the students and staff are friendly, kind and keen to succeed despite the challenges we are all facing at the moment. read more
