Cleeve Meadow School Examination Results 2023

We are delighted to share the excellent course and qualification results for Cleeve Meadow in what is the first year of results since the school opened in September 2018. 

All students have gained the Entry Level Certificates in English, Maths, IT, as well as completing BTEC Home Cooking skills to support the school aim for students to be working towards an ambitious and independent future. 

We are really proud to see the development in their confidence and resilience while meeting the challenge and demands of courses and qualifications, similar to traditional key stage 4 pathways.

  • 5 students have gained a GCSE grade in Art and Design. 
  • 100% of students entered have successfully completed the BTEC Level 1 Home Cooking Skills. 
  • All students have achieved Entry Level in both English and maths, with 55% completing fully at Level 3 in English. 
  • 100% of students completed Entry Level 2 for up to five IT-based units. 
  • 66% of students achieved Level 3 in studies of worship and religion. 
  • All students who completed the Design and Technology course gained Entry Level 2, or 3 as did those who selected Plant and Animal Care. 
  • All students have completed and achieved a minimum of 10 qualifications.

During their key stage 4 studies students have completed courses that have included GCSE Art and Design, BTEC Home Cooking Skills, Science, Animal Care, Personal Finance, Work Experience Based qualifications and Religious Studies which demonstrates the successful impact of a wide curriculum which provides opportunities and ambition for our learners. 

The cohort of 2023 have made excellent progress through a variety of courses and subjects studied; they are now also the school's first sixth form cohort this year. Our sixth form curriculum has been designed around the skills and ambition of our cohort as we support them to prepare for their next steps and transition into adulthood. 

Students who have completed Entry Level will study GCSE English and Maths. All students will also complete Hospitality and Catering courses towards a work experience placement at the end of Year 12. 

Students can also choose BTEC option pathways from Science, Sport, IT, Health and Social Care and Art. 

There will also be a strong focus for students on their careers, personal and social development, and preparation for independent life as a modern citizen.
