Duke of Edinburgh visit by local MP

On the 17^th April 2026 a representative from the Duke of Edinburgh scheme and local MP Mr French visited our Sixth Form students as part of the celebrations for the 70th Anniversary of the DofE Award programme.

Our student baristas welcomed our visitors with a cup of coffee in Juliets, our on-site public coffee shop and then did a demonstration of their DofE skills including pitching tents, packing rucksacks and using trangias (portable cooking stoves).

Afterward Mr French handed our Year 13 students certificates.
