HIGHLIGHT: Our current Year 11 students have been sitting their Maths Functional Skills exams (Levels 1-3) - 72% of students passed on their first attempt!

At KS5, a focus is placed on securing a good foundation in speaking, reading and writing skills in English and numeracy in Maths. This is linked to the real world experiences students receive as part of their Preparation for Adulthood lessons alongside working towards their Duke of Edinburgh awards.

HIGHLIGHT: Several of our current sixth-formers are working towards taking GCSE Maths in Year 13.

In Year 13 students take part in two days of work experience each week, one day being off-site and the other working in our on-site coffee shop ‘Juliets’. As part of this experience, year 13 students study for their Level 2 Award in City and Guilds Barista studies when working in the coffee shop.
